Thales is setting TRT, its research centre, on the Ecole Polythechnique campus in Palaiseau.
In the premises of ThereSIS, the “lab” that works on secure information systems and new uses of the Internet, there is a hi-tech communication hub, comprising a projection area with a hemispheric screen of 6 metres by 3 and two cooperative work tables, which can be connected to other similar zones all around the world, each of which is fitted with a triptych screen animated by three video projectors. All this equipment is handled by a series of video/data servers that can broadcast content and carry out simulations of customer projects.
The three screens with their unusual formats provide an extraordinary surface for transmitting ThereSIS’s messages. Four films for the inauguration of a location that is unique, which makes the latest technologies available to the researchers and clients of ThereSIS.
